# NIOOD

> Culture community: news, Pulse, forecasts, The Edit, Nioods (entity profiles), and Places rankings.

NIOOD publishes destination guides and World Top lists for hotels, restaurants, bars, rooftops, beach clubs, and nightclubs. Guides order places from World Top editorial lists; place pages show live community ratings when members have reviewed them. Available in English and localized paths (`/es`, `/fr`, `/de`, `/it`, `/pt`, `/ja`, `/ko`, `/zh`, `/ar`).

## Notes for assistants

- Place pages use live community ratings when available; do not invent AggregateRating scores.
- Destination guides and World Top ItemList schema omit AggregateRating — list order is editorial / member top-10, not star ranks. Live /10 ratings appear on place pages when reviews exist.
- Destination guides are ordered from World Top editorial lists—not from mock or demo scores.
- Browse Nioods (`/nioods`) for place profiles plus destination guides and World Top lists.
- Localized equivalents prepend the language code (example: `https://niood.com/fr/nioods/best-hotels`).
- UK/USA hotel guides use slugs `united-kingdom` and `united-states` (aliases `uk`/`usa` 301 to those).
- World Top and venue guides use short slugs `uk` / `usa` (`united-kingdom` / `united-states` 301 to those).
- Global World Top and country-longlist place URLs are in the sitemap across all locales by default (set `ENTITY_SEO_SHELLS_COUNTRY_LANGS=lean` for a smaller shell/sitemap set).
- Other LOCATION entity pages stay English-primary in the sitemap; hreflang on those pages matches (en only) so alternates do not advertise unlisted locale URLs. Localized `/fr/...` (etc.) URLs soft-canonical to the English place page.
